The service offered is beyond terrible. Both my husband and I both tried calling for 2 days solid...no response, no call backs. Frustrating- especially considering the voice message saying John Hughes sets a high standard.
Finally , on the third day of no contact, my husband had to drive to the service centre to be told that the anticipated 1 to 1 1/2 week wait for a warranty part from the eastern states has now blown out to a prolonged wait while the part is sent to Korea to be checked. I don't know why they couldn't have called and just told us this.
After several more unanswered calls later in the afternoon, I finally got hold of someone (what a miracle!!) to request the use of a courtesy car. Guess what? None available until the end of February.
If I never had to deal with this company again I would be happy. One star rating is being generous!
Fingers crossed our car is fixed and back to us soon.
I dropped my vehicle at John Hughes Hyundai for a service and to have a part replaced on 4/1/24. I received a call at 3:30pm the same day letting me know that my vehicle was ready to be collected. Upon arrival I was informed that the part had not actually been replaced, and that it would take at least 10 business days to arrive from the eastern states. I was not informed this at the time of booking, when I left the vehicle at the service centre, nor when they phoned and incorrectly informed me the service and repair had been completed.
Following the service, I experienced issues with the vehicle. I phoned the service centre to discuss these issues, and to organise having my vehicle looked at again. I called the service centre 10 times, left messages for the service advisor each time, and received no reply. It was not until I escalated my query to the line manager that I received a prompt return phone call from the SA. I was informed that I would need to pay a hourly rate diagnostic fee for the issue to be investigated. When I objected to this, I was told by the SA that she would need to look into the issue further and would phone me back immediately. I have received no further correspondence from the SA or John Hughes Hyundai.
I will not be returning to John Hughes Hyundai as I was disappointed by the service and subsequent lack of communication. I also lack confidence that any issues would actually be repaired effectively.
My T-Roc is the 4th car I have purchased from John Hughes and the service has been extremely seamless on all occasions! Dave Hammond is so professional and knowledgeable in all areas. I would definitely recommend all the facets of John’s business! Congratulations to all concerned!

Bought a second hand car 6 months ago from John Hughes. Bought a 2-year warranty, it started making a noise 4 months later. Took it in for a warranty claim early December. On pickup, the person couldn’t tell us what had been done or what the next step was. Since then we’ve made multiple calls to try to find that out. Each time we’ve been told someone will call us back. They haven’t. All in all, it’s been 7 weeks since we took the car in to be checked and we still have no idea what’s going on and of course, the car is still making that noise. Appalling service.
First time having my car service here, custumer service awesome, very busy, usually in the mornings but there is free coffee, tea, chocolate and water for all customers. A service advisor is assigned to your own case/car and transport can be arranged to drop or pick up, at any place (office, shopping center, etc)
Service advisor makes things more personalised and I like that 👌🏻

Had my 1st service with John Hughes. The staff were fantastic. They explained what had been done to my car and asked if I had any concerns. I even had a call the next day to see if I was happy with the car.

Where do I start… Booked my car in here for another service, plus for an issue that had just surfaced a couple of days beforehand. I have had my car serviced here before, however my quote was fairly reasonable, under $600. On arrival, I find out that their system didn’t register me previous service, so this one was going to be just shy of $1000 for 5he 150k km log book service. Just what I needed before Christmas. Got my car back, was the last one out that day, hadn’t even got out of the car park to notice the clunking issue in the rear passenger side, This is after I was told that they couldn’t find the issue, and even test drive it twice.
Then I find out my brake light wasn’t replaced, nor my shredded rear windscreen wiper, which was only noticed that morning. So, I emailed my issue as soon as I got home, (no response til Tuesday). On Monday I called..twice, to finally be asked to bring my vehicle back. A couple of hours later, and after again I had to keep asking about my car, as I was under the impression it was being seen to straight away. Fortunately I was able to go on the road test with their technician, ( thanks Mark), and the issue could be heard and felt straight away. So, they think it is a particular problem, and will get a quote to fix it for me. Three calls on Tuesday, again, no one has spoken to me, other than to get someone to call me back, or send me the quote.
I was supposed to be travelling on my holidays from yesterday, and now it’s Tuesday night, and extremely frustrated. Apart from the upcoming cost, it’s delaying our Christmas plans no end.up til now, I have had nothing but good things from family and friends, and over many decades. Not Happy Jan !!!!
